The annual Tractor Parade in Callicoon, New York, is one of our area’s most popular draws. Farmers, tractor enthusiasts, and the merely curious come to this small hamlet in Delaware County to participate in or watch a convoy of tractors—yesterday’s parade numbered 261—drive down Main Street. Ciabatta with Strawberries & Goat Cheese
Serves 6 – 8 as an appetizer or 4-6 as a main course Ingredients 1 Ciabatta, sliced
4 oz. goat cheese
1 pint strawberries, preferably small ones, tops removed and thinly sliced Marinade
1 Tbsp. balsamic vinegar
1 pinch salt
Fresh ground black pepper to taste
1 Tsp. brown sugar
1 Tbsp. basil leaves, thinly sliced 1. Place strawberries in a small bowl. Add marinade ingredients. Let sit for 30 minutes.
