Orders must be placed by 8pm on Wednesday for Saturday pickup.

Preorders available only at our bakery.

Storage

On the day you purchase your fresh bread, leave it at room temperature in a paper bag, or if cut, leave the cut side down on a board or shelf. The crust will stay firm and the inside soft. Any unused portion may be wrapped in plastic to maintain its freshness to eat later the same day.

Refresh

To refresh the loaf, sprinkle or mist the portion you want to serve lightly with water and place it in a preheated 400°F oven for 5-6 minutes, or until crusty. You may also slice and toast the bread for delicious results.

Freezing

Our bread freezes very well.  Wrap it first in foil and then place in a freezer bag. To thaw the bread, take it out of the plastic bag, leaving the foil on it, and place it on the center rack of a 400°F oven for about 10 minutes. Carefully remove the foil (watching for steam) and recrisp the crust in the oven for a few more minutes, if desired.

If you have more time, remove from the freezer, take it out of the plastic bag, leaving the foil on it, and allow to defrost on the counter.  Follow our 'refresh' method to revive the crust.

Refrigerating or microwaving bread is not recommended.
