Empty-Nesters
Within a month of our son Ian’s departure to Idaho, our daughter Jamie moved out of the house and into our New Jersey apartment to join the workforce. It seems most fitting that these events would take place on the cusp of the Jewish new year, when we can reflect on the past and see how we can make positive changes to our life in the future. Brian and I look at our friends and our peers, those who have retired or who have cut back on their work schedules. We must find a balance in our life that will make us happy and keep us active. Making time for exercise, visiting family, and staying involved in our community is the key to our health and our sanity.
